And thats including the two in indiana and 3 in radcliff/muldraugh area. We have two courses for the 16 largest city in the country.

Fun Farm, Buffalo Trace, and Seviren Lang are within 15 minutes apart. Possibly after the U.S. Masters that may get some exposure and open some doors for future courses.

The course discrepancy is partly due to politics, land value, disc golf interest, hard working volunteers, and a disc golf vision

Everyone wants new courses, who doesn't...

Cincy does have a number of courses, but keep in mind they are not all in cincy - many of them are in the surounding areas, not all to different from louisville - there are projects lined up and new courses will come...but in the meantime, local golfers need to unite for the same purpose and that is to grow and spread the game

Play leagues, bring ideas not complaints to the website, encourage the club to set more regular disc golf meetings, volunteer and help with course workdays and tournaments

Playing is fun, playing is important, being involved will be what will blow this game up in Louisville and everywhere

And there's still hope of adding a course(s) in Charlestown.

Speaking of courses, what is the news on Tom Sawyer? Is that dead?

I was reading an article on the Courier Journal online that discussed the amount of money that costs to maintain the parks. One of the reasons that Metro may not be willing to add a disc golf park is because of the funds.

As far as other parks in the area that are not run by Metro, the Community Park at St. Matthews is operated by St. Matthews. I never followed up with them because I don't have a whole lot of time to do so. It could have a nice nine-hole or an eighteen hole with different tee-pads. There are possbilities with that space, albeit limited.

It is important to keep bugging the Metro Council to install more DG courses. Try to impress that in these days of cutting expenses, how the radical difference in the cost of a lighted Tennis Court, or a Softball diamond compared to a DG course can fit into their budget cutting plans. Also point out that we have many volunteer man hours avaliable, and can design, help install and maintain the course. After it is in, all they have to do is cut the grass and empty trash cans. It will help get the young kids off the video games, and work off some of their energy. This sport appeals to all age groups. The more noise made by us the players, the more of their attention we get.

All great ideas and well thought out

Tom sawyer is not dead....just as is...

This is what we need most though, don't keep your thoughts to yourselves...spread tour ideas

I propose we need a club meeting and soon - the masters is coming up at the end of August - let's have a club get together/meeting at the end of July
