    Post 2012 Goals

So what are your dg related goals for this year? I meant to ask this before the new year but it slipped my mind.

Here are mine in no particular order:

    1) Play 3-5 new courses
    2) Devote more time to putting and field work
    3) Play atleast 5 sanctioned events
    4) End the year with a rating of 860 or better
    5) Get 3-5 new people into the sport and help them learn
    Orc / Vision / Predator / Teebird / TL / Condor / Roc / Stingray / Voodoo

win BG ams and am worlds : ) (realistically top ten) 26th of 176 in BG and 25th of 288 at Worlds
place top 3 in an open tournament after am worlds Finished 4th in Bburg to win my first cash

    Gotta set your goals high
Did not play my best in BG and Worlds but not disappointed where I finished. Still on track for my other goals.

    Win my first PDGA event.
    Cash in Advanced
    rated higher then 900
    Shoot a 1000 rated round.
Win the lottery and become a touring Pro

I am sure only a few will come true. I am most hopeful about the last.

Most hopeful about the last, but you should have more focus set on the other ones. The one you should start with is obviously you're first goal. Obviously, winning your first PDGA event is very fun, but then again every win is fun. I have 2 intermediate wins and 1 rec win, and they all feel equally as great. Looking for my first Advanced win this year. BTW, shout out to the All-Stars who gave out actual trophies to first place winners in the 2011 Pumpkin Bowl. I like that more than any amount of discs I have won. Having a trophy to be able to display for people to see is awesome. You can't really showcase a stack of discs.

Play 17 new courses to bring my total up to 150.
Review 30 more courses on DGCR for a total of 130 reviews.
Continue to work at and improve Seviren to keep it one of the top rated courses in the state of Indiana.
Get one new course in the ground.
Cash in 75% of the tournaments I play.
Improve my tournament rounds so they're more like the scores in my casual rounds.

You may have 5 new ones to play in the Evansville area by end of 2012. Big meeting last night.

Three in Evansville, one in Mt. Vernon, one in Petersburg.

The State Hospital and Petersburg courses may both be in by June, Hospital earlier.
A northside church camp (Camp Reveal) has had a course laid out by Doug Miller and Paul Oman. It's going to be a true wooded course. Their summer camp is in July and they want the course ready for it.

The Petersburg course has been laid out by Nick and Dane (they designed Mesker). It's going to be around a par 58-60 Championship caliber course with a lake coming into play on half the holes.

If everything works out, Evansville Open will be played at Mesker, Woodmere (state hospital) & Reveal.

Once Woodmere goes in the ground, our next club project will probably be to expand Mesker to a 27 or 36 hole complex.

Big things are happening in Evansville.

Are you still on track with your goals for 2012? There's still time to right the ship if you aren't.
