Pro/Advanced Only? Is this because its a qualifier or is there another reason?
I have alway enjoyed the Lou Classic, not sure if I can compete with the advanced devision though.

    Steve,
Sorry buddy. I did make the entry fees lower this year. There will also be
a players pack. Hopefully less divisions will create a larger pay out.
And yes since this is a Vibram Qualifier I want to send the best two people we can.
All persons playing this tournament will be able to qualify if they wish.

Thanks for the reply, If I am at the top of my game by then I may try to play. I don't particulary care if i come in last or not, its all about the fun and competition to me. We'll see.

So you are still offering multiple pro divisions but ony one AM? If this is all for bigger payout just have pro and am. You can combine 4 am divisions but not open and masters?

Hey Sammy, you've got it saying "sign up day of will be from 7:30-8:00" then "no day of sign ups". Shouldn't it say, registration/check-in instead? My other question is do I have to play in the Open division to be eligible for the Vibram spot or could I do it from Advanced since we're all playing the same layout? Also, I'm planning on being there. I'll pay next time I'm see ya.
All I need is some tasty waves and a cool buzz and I'm all right.

I backhand as a hobby, I putt to pay the bills.

    Thanks Wyatt. Typo is fixed.

All players that play are eligible for the Vibram Open spots. (two of them)
The cost is $10. That fee can be paid morning of. So to answer that more directly
all Pro and Advanced divisions are vying for the spot.

There are going to be a lot of questions about why no other divisions. I don't really have
that great of an answer. Locally we have lots of tournaments. Some sanctioned, some not.
This is just another tournament style for our local community. The prices to play have been lowered.
There are Advanced masters, Advanced Grandmaster, Advanced Women, Advanced Masters Women, Etc.
There are just as many pro divisions as Advanced.

I feel like the divisions will be larger. A greater pool of people to compete against. Not all will be winners.

I will be taking registrations at the club meeting this Friday. You can pay Martin if you see him.
Thanks and see you on the course.

Great idea Sammy. It's refreshing to try something new and innovative isn't it? Some will say it will work better, some will say it won't work at all. I say you don't know until try. I have something like this in my head right now, so I hope it does work so that I know if my idea will work! Remember, Vibram has already contacted me about the event so if you want to contact me, the door is open. But I don't look for events to sponsor, the events must contact me. Just sayin.

I love the fact that you are limiting divisions. There is no need for 3-4 unprotected amateur divisions. I hope to see more events like this where fewer divisions are offered. I'd have no problem with events having an Advanced Amateur division and a Novice division (intended for true novice players who have limited tournament experience. Wouldn't it be nice to not have baggers anymore? We would just have players that are better than us, which I am fine with.

That being said, I will continue to play the division I feel I can be most competitive. I mean, I'm a Capitalist.
