Indoor Ultimate Frisbee for the 2011/2012 Winter Months

Disc Golfers: During the winter of 2009 Louisville Ultimate ran an indoor Ultimate Frisbee program in the gym at St. John Lutheran Church. This form of ultimate is a little different then outdoor. 4-5 players on a team, short field space, walls all around, and lots of overhand throws. The best time to play is on those many cold and rainy nights during the winter.
Great way to get in some excercise, a lot less running then in an open field, and you get to throw plastic.
The cost would be $50 an hour. We would rent the space for 2 - 3 hours a night during the week. Pending enough signups I can set up teams or we could just rent for indoor pickup. At $5 a player a night - It would only take 20 - 30 people to pay for the rental fee. Ideas? Thoughts? Would you play?

i am not asking for commitments - just interest

so far kyle, scott, sam, and charlie have told me they might be interested in playing some pickup sometime

give me more names - I want to be able to share with the Ultimate Club that there are new people interested in trying this out

The game is set on a basketball court. Ultimate frisbee is sorta a combination of football and soccer. Football in there are endzone to score. Soccer as in constant movement. One team passes the disc amongst its teammates while the other team plays defense and trys to steal the disc without making any physical contact with opposing players.

Great opportunity to work on a little touch to add to your disc golf game come the spring. Who out there would be interested in playing some Pickup Indoor Ultimate this Winter?

Indoor Ultimate Frisbee Pickup

First Day will be

Next Tuesday November 29th, at St. John Lutheran Church, 901 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY

Cost is $5 (bring a light and a dark shirt, tennis/running shoes)

Time: 6:30 - 9:30 PM

Everyone must pay $5 and sign a waiver
