So for global competition who who be playing everyone straight up ratings wise

you shoot 1000 rated round - you beat the guy shooting a 998 rated round (even though the strokes may say different)

559 players are signed up for this tourney now around the globe - surpassing the always big Bowling Green Ams who had 544 players this year

This is now the largest PDGA event of 2011

Japanese and Aussie players are getting ready to go to bed and will start play in about half a day

    Robby only got a 3 on 18 the 1st round and got a 5 the 2nd round. I had a 3 the 2nd round. I've 3'd that sucker 4 of the last 5 rounds I've played there

Thanks for the fun Martin and everyone else involved.
One question though. I had a 67 first round rated 870, and 66 second round rated 858. What changed to make the rating differ so much?
I also saw Rob shot 49 the first round and 49 the third round, and his ratings were different too.
And Greenwell shot better the third round then the second and had a lower rating, if he had had the better rating as the first two rounds he would have one on the global level.
Please explain what made the third round not rate as high as the first.

    I hear ya

I have emailed chuck Kennedy to find out

My best guess so far is notice that nearly 80% or so of the scores today improved from yesterday

This would imply the course played easier despite tougher conditions

SSA yesterday was like 53.2 today it would only be like 51.8

I really do not think the conditions on the course were any better or worse today or Saturday, in fact today may have been a little breezy-er (if that's even a word). I personnaly played better today, but not because of the course conditions-but because I wasn't under the influence of the flu.
Surely they do not say the conditions of the course are different just because players scores change.
Thanks for looking into this for us though.

I doubt they have any real way of judging the course conditions other than looking at people's scores

Yep, dan. The conditions dictate the scores. IE/ Rain will make scores *generally* go up on average, so the SSA will be higher accordingly. Simple math.
