Is there a Freeman Lake tourney this year... If so I might have to come up and lay claim...

Very doubtful.
There is some work about to be done on or near the lake that will require the park, or portions of it to be shut down for an extended period of time. The city said they hope to be done by November so they can shut it down again to have Christmas in the Park.
A friend of mine knows one of the contractors that will be doing the work and he told me they had 300 days to finish it up. That could easily run into May or later.
I talked with Corey Greenwell Tuesday night and he wast too optimistic about having the FLO this year.
I asked him if the contractors will be working on the weekends, he said they would be.
