    Default Otter Creek Progress (5/2/11)

The course is looking GOOOOOOOOOD! All of the baskets except 9, 12, and 17 are installed. These are three of the four that were cut off and stolen before the park closed. Due to that, they're requiring us to spend our own money and labor to fix and reinstall. Troy, Larry, Mark, and I have straighted, welded, painted, and installed every basket. We installed a fence between the basket and the property line on #8. We're working on tee signs and a bridge between #15's basket and #16's tee next. The course will EASILY be ready for the grand opening next week.

I foresee a couple of hours of hooky from work in my immediate future.

Thanks a million, Jeremy. Everyone owes you a great deal for seeing that Otter comes back better than before. Can't wait to get out there and see the course again. Thanks again.
All I need is some tasty waves and a cool buzz and I'm all right.

Thanx, Wyatt, but nobody owes me anything. Just get people out there playing to make sure we don't have to ever do this again. Thank the guys at Kentucky Fish and Wildlife. Without thier vision for the property we'd still be waiting for the area to be opened. Pay your anual fee with a smile on your face.

Do you know if there will be posted hours? If so what will they be?
Will there be a gate house that we can by our pass from?
Will the pass be per person or car load?

I am so pumped about playing OC! Love the nostalgia of it and can't wait to be part of the new history!

I might just leave OC and drive straight up to Honeybear! When is the Grand Opening?

Yes. You will have to drive past a gate house everytime you come in.

From my understanding...May 14th. I'll make an updated thread when I know the exact date and time.

We MAY have already thrown a couple holes in an attempt to get an ace the day the baskets were installed and there MIGHT have already been a couple REALLY CLOSE calls....maybe....

There might even be a couple pictures of such an event...if it did occur.
