Default Spring Club Meeting - Saturday, May 14

    Saturday, May 14th at 7pm
    BBC St. Matthews
    3929 Shelbyville Rd.

    About the meeting:
In addition to getting some food or drink and socializing, there's plenty to talk about.

    1. The Charlie Vettiner Open.

    2. Other club run events.

    3. Club Treasurer. I'm sorry to say Nate has requested to step down as treasurer. He's got a full schedule between his jobs, family and the twins. This a big need in the club and we can discuss it more at the meeting.

    4. This is everyone's club and a volunteer organization, so please bring ideas of things you think the club should do and what you can help with. We have lots of officers who have volunteered to help out in some way and make the disc golf scene in the area even better. A few have already done their part. Now's the time of year when golfers start to come out of the woodwork and hit the course so there's plenty that can be done. Please think about what you can do to make an impact on the sport.
What are your unique set of skills and strengths and how can you use them to help disc golf in the Louisville area? What's your idea to make disc golf better for everyone? By doing your part and helping with just one thing, with all the active disc golfers there won't be an end to the things we can do.

    this will be great

currently the LDGC has its largest club membership base in a long time - all of us can do some great things this year

#1 is we have the CVO - coming up - we still need hole sponsors and everyone buy a CVO fundraiser disc

BBC Taproom or BBC St. Matthews?
It might be a good idea to have this in
St. Matthews so we can hit them up for
    sponsorship opportunities.

That's a good question. The BBC Taproom isn't normally open on Saturday's so is there any chance one of you could talk to BBC St. Matthews and see if they have a space for us to meet?

BBC St. Matthews is on reserve. I told them to expect between
25-50 people. We are going to meet on the covered deck. If you are
familiar with BBC St. Matthews the meeting will take place in the dart
area. Plenty of room for friends and families so com out and enjoy
some craft beer at the BBC.

May 14, 2011 6:00 pm BBC St. Matthews.

First post updated with meeting notes. If you have something you'd like to discuss that's not on the agenda, post about it here or bring the idea to the meeting.

    See you there!

Just a thought to throw out---might be a good idea, might be bad, don't know. Terry, Ed, Shawn, Nick, etc, (I may have left some people out,) have been in discussion with Buffalo Trace to add holes (as many as 9 more I've heard, is that right?) Could we donate a basket as a club? I know they have a sign out there that says you can sponsor a hole for $100---I know a basket is significantly more than $100, but surely we'd get credit for sponsoring the hole if we were to give the basket. Maybe the ace pool at the BTO could be a few dollars more with the money split; half goes to the winner and half towards to basket (I know that still wouldn't cover the entire thing.)
