2011 bag tags

THE KICKOFF BAG TAG TOURNEY WILL BE SUNDAY JANUARY 30th AT SEVIREN LANG

bag tags for 2011 are $10 (pays for the whole year and gets you in the big money tourney in the fall)

-tags can be purchased through me anytime, if you cant make the tourney you will still get an low tag # just for signing up early-

I have so far sold 15 of the 120 tags available for 2011

2pm start time
singles format
$10 division (gunning for a 54)
$5 division (think you can shoot a 64)
$0 division (just trying not to hit more then a tree per hole)

Well i just shot a 72 & then a 74 looking like a free round for me.

my best ever is still a 60 but that was a ton of dueces. Best I have shot since is near 70 but unfortunately I will be out of town then. When I get back Ill get with you for a tag and a couple more probably for Roger Lawson and Ed Hamm. + a couple more memberships!!

I am going to award bag tags at the event on jan 30th based upon a new handicap system for 2011.


As I posted the other day there will be 3 divisions:

$10 division (gunning for a 54)
$5 division (think you can shoot a 64)
$0 division (just trying not to hit more then a tree per hole)

These 3 divisions will pay out based on actual score.


Prior to the round I want a goal score for each player (if you cant come up with a goal score - I will come up with one for you)

Tags will be rewarded based on how players play against there goal.

Example:

Martin - goal 54 - actual 60 - DIFFERENCE 6
Mike - goal 69 - actual 74 - DIFFERENCE 5
Shawn - goal 59 - actual 72 - DIFFERENCE 13
Adam - goal 57 -actual 65 - DIFFERENCE 8

The best tag would be awarded to Mike with a 5, followed by Martin with a 6, Adam with a 8, and Shawn with a 13 - and so on...

Throughout the year at certain events tags will be won and lost based on the handicap


I know what you're thinking - Why dont I just inflate my score so that I win the top tag.
Well I suppose you could - but then you're just cheating yourself - set a real goal - and beat it - BAG TAGS are just the side game - make yourself a better golfer in 2011 - see you all Jan 30th - at Seviren Lang - 2pm

My only question is could we use a senario next time where im not in last? Im just saying..... or mention at least the double duece's back to back on 13 & 14? Just something positive on my behalf....

I like the format as well it is different and a great chance to set a new record individually. I know my 1 round of 60 was all I could do and I cant imagine doing it again, in the winter at least.
