I saw where the new bill got passed by the house. Hopefully the budget will get finalized and we will be able to know whether or not we can have a course installed.

Yeah, I really hope things work out so a course can be installed there.

Looks like they finally passed it:

Apparently nothing is going to be shut down, which means it may be on for Tom Sawyer.

    Update 7/6/10:

I spoke with the Tom Sawyer Park Director last week on the 2nd to check on the progress. He confirmed that he has sent the proposal that I drafted in for budget approval. Right now it seems that they are working on a month to month budget. He is still very positive about having a course there and even said that he understands the benefits of it being there but has to allocate a budget to mow grass and maintenance activities once we install it. He said he would let me know as soon as he hear's anything. I of course will pass it on as soon as I know.

Now if anyone wants to volunteer to mow the grass for free....

As long as I feel ok I can, or I could at least donate a mower and some gas!

It also looks like the Taylorsville course is going to be a go, maybe by this time next year there will be a course there.

I've heard that this course is going to be sick if the course gets put in as designed...

DLG told me that the new park director gave him a new area to look at. Not for sure if that is the area that he was describing to you or not.
