How much cash has been raised?

I saw this weekend that two A tier's paid barely
$1000 to first. We should at least get there shouldn't we?

We have ABOUT $1200 from Martin's fund-raiser event and $500 from disc sales IN HAND. That's ABOUT $1700 cash in hand. There is also about $1100 pledged via caddy book sponsors. That would bump us up to about $2800. After we pay for the caddy book and stuff we should be left with about $2500-ish added to the pro purse. Which, I would think, would have us paying out upward of a grand for first.

Here’s a direct quote from Avery Jenkins from an e-mail he sent to me in regards to the CVO:

“Thanks for the invite and let me know when you get the added cash to entice us to make the trip to your event next year.”

Unfortunately Avery and Val won't be coming. MONEY is what brings the big names. If you guys want to see the attendance for the CVO sky rocket next year the best thing you can do is raise a butt-ton of money this year. There’s only five more days until the cut off for the caddy book. I love to see someone hustle in the cash to REALLY make this event a HUGE success.

There was much more to his email. He seemed to be a super nice guy. That was just the final point of his message. I hope that it can inspire us to continue to work hard at growing this event.

Remember the club covered the CFR's, course rental fees, and PDGA sanctioning fees. That total is $946. The LDGC has put a lot of money up with the help of all its awesome members.

That's good to know. He seemed really nice in all the vids and interviews I've seen. That's why I was a little taken aback by that quote. It seems a little rough when viewed alone. Thanks for the clarification.

We're getting down to the last minute guys. We're getting the biggest names in disc golf in our city for our tourney. If you want them to come back next year and bring MORE players you gotta help and give them a reason. Get those sponsors in.
