Does anyone think a fund raising tournament
would work. Something like half the money to the
payout and half the money to the CVO.

Just an idea. I would be happy to run something
like this.

The skins tournament that I ran two years ago for the CVO raised over $250. I think everyone had a good time too. It was also a good way to get rid of some discs that the club has sitting around.

The club would get paid back the money that they have invested in discs and AM's could turn around and sell/trade the discs if they don't want them. That was where most of the money came from like most tournaments.

Pro payout was 75% of take-in and Am payout was 1 disc per hole where the disc progressively got better from hole 1 to 18 (ex. DX on holes 1,2,3,4,5&6 Pro on holes 7,8,9,10&11, Champ 12,13,14&15 and Star on 16,17&18) and all of the money went to pay for the discs and go to the fundraiser. We could almost order discs just for the event if we wanted to.

I'm still going to sponsor this year but just give me a few weeks. I have to see if it's going to be Gorilla Discs & Snap Disc Golf Gear or just one of the two.

Does the club have any disc hanging around. If so, about how many, what kind and plastic?

The disc we have are going to be used up for the FATPAD! I am about to place an order with Innova. If we need to get some disc let me know.

I would like to make one last push to discuss the courses
being used. The Fun Farm is just not that great of a place and is
35-50 minutes away from most parts of the city. From what
I hear they aren't cutting the grass and the course is not in
A+ condition.

IQ however has had some major blood sweat and tears put into
it. Major hours have been put in by disc golfers. Who cares what other
tournaments are run at CV and IQ. This is an A tier event. Lots of
players will not be local.

IQ is a nice balance to CV. Also IQ is in an Olmsted Park. The Olmsted
Park system is the PRIDE of our city. What better way to spend the day
than at an Olmsted park. Really think about it. Think about the people that
come from out of town. Part of the memories come from were you spent
your time playing disc golf. IQ is a much better place in my opinion.

Lastly, the sponsorship opportunities are at IQ. I am going to bet we
could get more $10 sponsors if we included IQ. I also bet we could get
more volunteers if we used IQ.

Why are we not using IQ again?

I honestly don't have any objections other than not having played the new IQ. Let me think about it. If the LDGC and the Allstars joined forces this would surely be the biggest tourney ever in da ville.

make a pledge. Put a little cash up to ensure
we keep an A tier in our city. If this is important
to you now is the time to step up and make your
voice heard.

without the new albanian as a major sponsor - we should keep the tourney in ky and use our two louisville courses - lots of good can come of this

louisville golfers have done a ton in town to improve iq - what better way to showcase it then as part of a national level A-Tier

Fun farm doesn't seem to care too much about disc golf, why should disc golf care about the fun farm?

Keep it local. Last year was good, we had a big sponsor in Indiana, and that was great. But without the big Indiana sponsor, we should keep it local. There are more opportunities for sponsorship away from the fun farm.

The fun farm can do it's own event if there is interest.

Sounds like a great chance for both clubs to put on something together. Play should be faster at IQ as well. I like it.
