When I was talking to Jack yesterday I jokingly said "They could sell the baskets for scrap!" He BARELY laughed before he said "I'm NOT going to mention that to anyone."![]()

Perhaps they could lease it to a nearby community.
This would take most of the expenses off the Metro books and show revenue by doing so.

Or just do like most Indiana parks do and charge an entrance fee too enter, it sounds like it'd be a pain but anything to fund the park. It CAN'T be cheap to hire people to do general maintenance and what not...
the city of louisville has tried to give ocp to meade co in the past. the last time was in 2004. i doubt they will take it now. and the history of ocp tells us that it was given to the city of louisville in 1947. in 1995 metro parks took it over. this is why ocp is owned by louisville. i would think that it would be wise to try to get state or federal gov to take over the park. and while i hate to see it go i understand why the mayor specified ocp as the park that gotta go. the main reason is it is not in louisville, and why should louisville tax dollars be spent to run a park that is not in louisville.
There is a topic on this at DGCourseReview.com now. link to topic is found here http://http://www.dgcoursereview.com...#46;php?t=1159 . Some people have interest in the baskets if this closure is for good. I would hope that the LDGC gets first dibs if this is the case.

I just can't believe it.
So anyone up for a farewell tournament on the 13th?

I think some of the BG golfers are coming up to play on the 13th.
Let's just say...be there at 9:00am for a round of $5 doubles. I may not be there but someone can figure out payouts.
