    BS!

I'm not sure how many people are aware of this, maybe we can put a link to this thread in the general chat section or maybe put something about it on the front page of the site.

The city was trying to get muldraugh or another municipality to take
over Otter Creek Park. It's kind of silly that it is run by the city.
Disc Golf looks to be taking a major hit with the budget cuts. Thank
God the bridges are done at CV!

My condolences go out too the Louisville crew... that course was always one of my favorites, I enjoyed making a summer trip down there to camp and play some DG around the area...

I'm thinking of writing a letter about us volunteering to keep the DG course kept up and seeing what they would say. If there is someone else that would like to do this let me know.

sucks - always did amaze me though that the city of louisville owned otter creek

sad to see it closed down - but maybe we can find some light at the end of the tunnel - new courses somewhere in the future

still can't believe its closing - have to go and play again soon - maybe we can get some sort of final event together on the 13th to help shut it down -

    maybe fling-a-thing 09 at CV ???? -

This does suck, but let's not get down about this too much. In the long term it could be a very positive thing.

Let's review the facts. Working with Metro Parks is a long and difficult process mostly because of the size of the government. The parks department of smaller towns is generally easier to work with in part because there's less red tape.

So if the park is reopened by Meade County for instance, think how much easier it could be to work with them to install 9 to 18 more holes there. If something like that's done there, Otter could become a disc golf mecca.

That's what I've been thinking too. I don't know if Meade county could afford it though.

It sounds like Louisville will take anything they can get right now
