Wow. What terrible news. First Muldraugh and now OCP. That's a big hit to us. How long has that park been in the ground? Looking at my calendar I won't be able to play it again before it closes.
Jeremy, have you talked to anyone about pulling the baskets? There could be some positives with them: Fund raisers, new course, etc. What terrible, terrible news.![]()

Somebody needs to "SMACK" the "MAYOR 4 LIFE". If he wouldn't have spent zillions on the waterfront the city wouldn't be making budget cuts like this.
This is total crap and I honestly can't see how he can do this.
I hope this is only a temp thing. Sucks pretty bad if it's not. I havn't played OCP in a very long time and I won't get to before it closes. I had been talking to a buddy about camping there when the weather gets better but now it's not going to happen. He got me back into this sport and has never thrown there. He was interested but prob won't get to make it out there either. I hope none of the others get shut down. If OCP is gone for good I hope we are able to pull the baskets like Jason mentioned. Any idea how Metro Parks picked what was going to close?

From talking to Jack West today it's a done deal. The only hope is that someone buys it. The course will remain in the ground for now but they're going to gate the entrance so no one can go in.

That's awful to hear. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it down there for one last round. This could lead the club into getting a new course or something in the future since the city knows that they took away one of original courses in Kentucky.
All I need is some tasty waves and a cool buzz and I'm all right.
I backhand as a hobby, I putt to pay the bills.
yep, from what I understand, it was the FIRST course put in the state of kentucky. But I could be wrong. Sad to see it go
