I'm sure he'd rather not have a video of him getting a 7 on hole one at fountain hills, but it's there on the shots of the day. That hole is definitely a beast!

thats rough to watch - poor dave
i remember last year watching the first two cards of the morning play that hole i think only one or two of the guys made it across in one shot, i wasn't one of them
i have heard their were a few players who just plain ran out of discs before the round would be over, and at least one who had to make a phone call asking for some to be brought to the course, run out of drivers or such
We all remember my pain last year at Fountain Hills. I only lost about 50 disc that week. Maybe not
50 but I certainly lost over 35 disc in one week.
whats the distance on that hole? pretty intimidating thats for sure...
Over 300. For the righty falling into the water is also nasty.
I thought I threw one of the best drives of my life to start that
tournament only to skip, slide and gravitate into the water.
What a starting hole.
its about 390'. you can play it safe to the right, there is still ob long and right there too though. and its still a 300'+ shot there too. i saw players playing wide right to be safe and saw it off early and still go wet
