Should We Do a Bag Tag Challenge!?!

So how does this bag tag challenge actually work?

I will do it then. I will post some rules tomorrow that I will "borrow" from another club but basically.
1. Buy a tag
2. Play in a one day tourney (if you want one of the first tags) and the best score gets #1 and then so on.
3. Next time you see a person with a tag with a lower number than yours challenge them. You have to supply some incentive (money, handicap, etc)
4. If you win you get the tag. If you lose than you lose what ever it was that you put up wagered.
5. At the end of the season you get a prize if you are in the top 5 or 10.

Basic rules, but what I saw online was a little more detailed.

#4 about winning a match between two tags - wouldn't you just switch tags upon the win - scenario i have tag 10 and i play bill with tag 5, i win so now i am tag 5 bill is tag 10

and for #5, at the end of the season the paying out of the top 10 or so - what about holding another tourney based around a bracket that breaks down folks tag numbers -

i like the idea the the lower tag number can never refuse a challenge from a higher tag number - be it a rd of golf or perhaps who can hit the most putts from 50ft (if time is to short for a hole round)

glad this idea got taken up and put into action - wonderful

Yeah I agree with Martin..........
It should be Bag Tags only, no money or handicaps or etc.
HEAD TO HEAD!!!!!
If you have a tag and someone challenges you, you must except no questions asked.
However if you are strained for time and have a legit excuse than side games can come into play. They must be a putting contest or something on those lines, not money or bribes!!!!!


Plus posting online who has what is a great idea!!!!!!
This way all tags can be counted for!!!!
If you don't have access to a CPU, you probably should not get involved!

hey russ when i was saying that the higher tag could not refuse the lower tag that didn't mean money and handicaps aren't still an option -

scenario - i have tag 5 and bill has tag 9, bill says i'll play you 18 holes for your tag, i can't beat you straight up but if you give me 4 strokes and i beat you we exchange tags -

or we could have bet 5 bucks on the game, but we still would exchange tags, if the lower tag loses,

what i meant by no tag refusals was that the lower tag would just not be able to refuse a challenge from a higher tag (the games between the tags might be anything be it golf related)

Also most important i'm not running this event so my thoughts are just that
a few ideas nothing i've said may be what will even happen.
