I know how it works, but what do you mean by "head it up"(not the first thought that comes to your mind the other )?

Could I put it n'sync with PBL? Yes, I like Justin Timberlake's music , but I'm not on the "rainbow" team!!!!

gottagogottathrow has custom bag tags for 3.75 for 50. Jeremy may be able to get them cheaper. I found some rules from several different clubs. I would think that if we did do this, we would have to allow for some bartering in the challenge. (Allowing strokes, payments, etc.) Most of the rules that I found had $ associated with it. The loser had to pay $5 but the person being challenged never had to pay. They only had to give up their tag. Sounds fun to me.

By "head it up" I mean...."do it". Buy the custom numbered tags, come up with some rules, sell the tags, schedule a year end play-off, etc. I would be willing to give all the info from the past challenges we did but I don't want to orginize it.

In the past this has always failed because someone will get the number one tag and hide it like it's gold.

    Out of towners are fine.

Giving strokes/playing for side bets is fine too.

I will do it on a couple conditions. (always with conditions)

    1. #1 can not hid the tag. They are subject to losing it. The rules would have to be set up that way. All players refusing to accept challenges according to the rules would be subject to losing their tag. Even if we have to have some re-printed.

    2. The people playing have to abide by all of the rules.

    3. You have to be able to be challenged - Local players only - meaning LDGC members, people who visit the Louisville area on a regular basis (more than just tournaments), players in Radcliff, Muldraugh, E-town, etc. It is not fair for someone to come in on a weekend and take a tag and never be seen again. Which leads to #4

    4. You have to have a tag or purchase a tag through a someone running a league, tournament, etc. in order to challenge someone. A new purchase gets the next number that is not assigned.

    5. Players would have to post on the board in a "new" heading if they won or lost and then I can keep a listing on the board so that we can keep up with who is at what number.

There you have it. I will run it if those are acceptable. I may need some finacial help but I see Nate and other people enough that as people purchase tags I could give the LDGC the money back.

You (or the LDGC) should make some money on it. Buy the tags for however much and the sell them (and the eligibility to be involved in the challenges) for double. You can then use that money for end of season prizes/awards and such.

    You have my vote
