Let me share how doubles league (action) played down here this morning
We all paid $9 to play dubs at redan (this Sunday 10 am action has been played for 25? years. ..same guy running it)
My post about ctps and free league play are a great way to increase participation
League pay as is would be $5 (players would have option to forgo payouts and pay $0)

so I played a doubles the other day....it was $5... $3 went to first place, $1 ace pool, $1 club
then there was an optional $5 payout and an optional $5 for 5 ctps
so potentially $15 in all

Youre right marcus the few courses we have around so indiana and louisville are top notch when compared to many of the courses out there...quality over quantity

I played like 10 courses one day up there
check out mt gilead and blue heron
the 9 hole masters at calvary baptist was a great layout
Indian springs is fun..the golf carts are a big plus
Northwest is 18
avon is a good course
blue heron and a few of the 9 holers at the churches are worth the trip

Work with slower and less stable discs...easier to control and they are far more forgiving then most drivers on the market
