Just came from the course and there's paint marking the spots for the benches. Does anyone know if this means they're putting permanent benches in concrete or are they just bringing movable ones? There's also paint marking the new teepad on 14, which will be about 20 or 25 feet in front of the existing pad (which is higher ground and should eliminate the problem of having the teepad flooded.)
Yup, we should be getting some benches and more concrete tees in the near future plus we're hoping to extend the tee pad on hole 6. And there's a possibility we could be getting a practice basket at some point.
I forgot about 6---I did see the marking for it, too.
I thought 14s pad would be good if moved closer to the road. If it's closer to the basket making that hole ever easier might the basket be mover behind the mound to make it interesting ?
The way it was explained to me when it was originally suggested that it be moved was that it brings the backside of the hill more into play. In the current location, very few people can reach the basket, but if it moves up more people will have a shot to run at it, therefore leading to some of them overshooting and ending up down the backside in trouble. Makes it more risk-reward than the current layout, which is for the most part a simple 3 and usually nothing more or less.
Kinda like hole 16 at I.Q.

Sweet, things are definitely moving along out there. The benches came from the transportation department. I haven't seen them yet, but I would guess they're a little older but as long as they work fine that's the important thing.
I guess maybe the bases of the benches could be older but the wood on them is brand new. There was also a guy re-staining the shelter house back by #3 and #4.
