Benches are a lot of work and not too many volunteers to go around. It will get done, just in time. It took 20+ years to get them at Otter Creek, IIRC...
Less lip more hip
We had a # of trash cans throughout the course - some have been moved - do you really have that much garbage you are carrying around?
the course is pristine anyhow - there isnt any garbage laying around
benches - maybe someday - cant throw when you are sitting anyhow - i expect we may construct some seating over the next year or so
check out the reviews of this course on a national website - most folks are concerned about the important parts like - is the course fun and can i find hole 2 after I play hole 1

Is this a joke? Seriously, the course is awesome.
Tons of man hours by many fine people.
Carry out your own trash!
If you want a bench build a bench. If you want a trash can, carry a trash bag.
Just like benches, courses aren't free and they don't build themselves. A LOT of work goes into a course redesign and Seviren is one of the best around.
So Mike, if benches are so important, my advice is to go to Lowe's, pick up some boards, 4x6s, nuts, bolts, bags of Sackrete and track down some post diggers, saws, hammers, drills and whatever you might need and build and drop some benches. You can pick up some trash cans while you're there too. I'm sure everyone would really appreciate your efforts!
April Fools In Aug?
I think I remember hearing that any benches would have to be built by the parks department because of the rules governing the park, so we don't really have any control over that. I'd like benches, too, but I'm also willing to plop my fat butt on the ground when needed. You do get benches by the shelterhouses next to #13 and #16. They have done construction out there when we've needed them to in pretty short time--those bridges (which probably didn't look necessary to you because it's currently dry,) went in in a day prior to the SLO.
Not trying to be a smart butt, how about carrying a collapsible stool with you?
Thirty dollars at Dick's...comes with a carry strap and a back to lean against. Much cheaper than a bench.
