Damage to Hole 17
It's hard to believe that someone would take it upon
themselves to make Charlie Vettiner a 1/2 stroke easier.
Someone cut the edge of the rough on hole 17. The hole is
now way easier. Thanks for nothing you fool. If you don't have
enough game to play CV then just go somewhere else.
Why would someone destroy our course?
This is illegal and will not be tolerated.
Dave Greenwell is offering a reward for information leading
to finding out who our vandal is. If it's YOU stop! We don't need
the course to be any easier.
It does not go unnoticed that branches and small trees have
been getting broken and snapped in half for years. This is being
done to soften up the course and make it play easier. DON'T TAKE IT
UPON YOURSELF TO ALTER OR CHANGE DISC GOLF COURSE -
HERE OR ANYWHERE ELSE.
-
Amen on that one. I hope whoever it is gets publicly stoned with "rocs" and hopefully has to pay a hefty fine. Whoever did this, if you are reading this, you will be found out and made an example of.....idiot!
-
What happened exactly? Were there trees cut down or just the rough thinned out? Julie and I were out there Saturday and didn't notice anything.
-
The right edge of the rough (from the teebox) is
gone. Now you can almost hyzer a shot all the way
to the pin instead of being FORCED to throw a straight
shot. It's a lot easier. The hole is now about as hard
as hole 6. In my opinion that hole was one of the hardest
deuces on the course. Also it was gettable by most players
just a tough pro shot.
The integrity of the hole has been compromised and for what?
-
This kind of news makes me sick. Don't modify the course on your own to make it easier, learn how to throw different shots in different situations and your game will improve.
-
Really? Wow. That sucks. That was one of the toughest shots on the course (having to throw a straight 375' shot with not much hyzer at the end). I'm really sorry to hear that. :(
-
I would be willing to donate to a reward for info leading to the identity and the possible arrest of those responsible for any damage to the course. It is well known that we have players out there that carry clippers in their bag to help get themselves out of tight spots. I know if I catch anybody doing it, I WILL do what it takes to get them arrested for vandalism to city property. This kind of player is a coward, and has no respect for the sport.
-
Go get'm guys I haven't seen the damage but it is totally uncalled for.
-
Top of the bush had a bunch if branches clipped
On a side note I have the teesign for 7
Someone must had a good time snapping it off the post as well

This makes me sick. There needs to be a big sign on the kiosk about the consequences of course destruction. Surely it was done by someone who is relatively new to the sport and doesn't quite understand that it is not an improvement to the course to remove foilage. Any golfer worth his salt appreciates a tougher course.
