I'm coming Martin, please add me to the list.
I'll be there
What is meant by 1 to 1 matchups and single elimination?
If every hole has a short tee, why is the total short tees a person can use only 9 instead of 18. Will it be our choice on which holes to use the short tees on, as long as we only use the amount of short tees that our handicaps warrant?
By the way my tag # is 89
yes Kevin I know that depending on how many shorts your warrant you can choose which ones. Martin will surely fill in any other details but i do know that much
it is 9 holes at a time we wont play a full 18. if you win 5 of 9 then you move on to play 9 more. thats my understanding
I have changed the format for the tourney
check the first post on this thread for info
1st round will be 18hole pad handicapped match play between all 3-4 people on the card
winner of the card moves on to finals
2nd round (FINALS) will be a 9hole pad handicapped stroke play

the question was asked on the allstars site
What does First round 5 long pads - Second round 3 long pads mean?
be it or 1st year or some folks 3rd or more - we have never done this handicap before
the handicaps are all based on how many long vs short pads you will tee from
the first round will be 18 holes
match play
and you will get placed with 2 - 3 other players on a hole based on your tag # (and what tags show up)
winner of the card gets to play in the next round
1st Round (5 long pads) means: that you have to play from 5 long pads and 13 short pads
For those at the top of the handicap system they may play 18 longs and those at the bottom will play 0 longs
I will be adding some long and some short pads to all the holes that only currently have 1 pad - so that there is a long and short pad on every hole.
the second round (finals) will be 9 holes
stroke play
everyone will be playing against each other
2nd Round (3 long pads) means: that if you make the finals you will have to tee from 3 long pads and 6 short pads
