I hope it is sooner rather than later as the link suggests.

Do we have anyone who can make contact and get this rolling?
This is great news!

I'm in contact with the former head of the park and KFW.
Well crap....I reposted this under the OCP section before I saw this topic. I just saw the news at 11:00 and ran here as fast as I could!
So I heard on the news that KFW wants to make it an "outdoor recreational area." I guess the big question is do the powers that be consider DG as an "outdoor recreation"? Anyone know (Jeremy)? (To me the answer is obvious, but...)
I talked to KY Fish & Wildlife and explained our sport and the history of the course to them. They explained to me that they were looking for activities and people to head up those activities. I explained to them that I was a full time volunteer at Otter Creek for years (logging 20+ hours per week on average), I live five minutes from the course, and that the course would be self sufficient with the exception of mowing the grass. I explained that the local disc golf community would volunteer their services to get the course back in the ground and maintain it. He expressed that these were all the right things to say and that’s exactly what they’re looking for.
There is no answer as to if DG will be put back in the park for sure but our foot is in the door. They’re hoping to reopen the park sometime next year with a entry fee being added to the park.
