I think the officer duties Jeremy outlined along with the three committees Martin talked about (above) could really be good for the club. I hope we can adopt this and start getting these committees together at the meeting.

The meeting was advertised on the Allstars board as being for everyone so having the nominations and not the votes should allow us to keep the meeting open to all (unless we've already scared them away by saying it's LDGC members only now). If we decide to adopt Jeremy's officer duties, a little extra time would allow the nominees to explain why they would be fit for the position. I would rather see nominations at the meeting and voting online, but that's just my opinion.

Well it looks like I'll have to join another time. The job I was supposed to finish last nght turned into somewhat of a problem and I might even miss leagues tommorrow. I was hoping to see someone at the meeting that knows Rik Downs so I could get his CE Leopard to him that I found.

We had a group of players attend:

We really didnt have much of a meeting due to low attendance.
We talked about some of the great things that occured during 2009.
We talked about if we should go back to monthly or every other month meetings.
We didn't do anything along the line of elections due to attendance, lack of nominations, and no set plan of how to collect votes.
we talked a little about Steve Dodson and a fundraiser event - we could not set anything in stone though as we are working with the Allstars on the details.
What we did not talk about during the meeting:
I think we should get back into having meetings every other month or so, mixing them up by location, sometimes matching them with golf events, golf outings, picnics, parties, whatever...
We should set the dates on the calendar for the whole year.
I think we should get started by setting a date for january/feb
-focus at this meeting:
all members picking a committee to be a part
club leadership nominations
set voting criteria for online elections
give away a PDGA membership
kick-off 2010 bag tags
steve dodson fundraiser
other ideas, thoughts?

I think we did have a great year and yeah there were some issues (would't be normal if there were none) but I believe the committies will help take some of the load off. I personally am happy with all of the current officers and would vote them into another term!
