Super Stupid Soft Wizard (Gateway)
Jason hooked me up with a Super Stupid Soft Wizard today so I thought it would only be far to give this disc a review. It reminds me VERY much of a JK Aviar. This is the best looking and feeling piece of plastic that I've seen come from Gateway. While it's flight and shape is that of the beaded JK it's feel is more like an Omega Super Soft. Great over stable putter that will STICK to the chains. If I wasn't an Innova fanatic I would most like put one of these in my bag.
Re: Super Stupid Soft Wizard (Gateway)
I threw a couple of those for a few days, using them only for putting and by the end of the first day, they were already starting to become warped. They are really nice putter though, they just don't stand up very well against the chains.
Re: Super Stupid Soft Wizard (Gateway)
Maybe a different mold now but I have been using mine since September and don't have any more warpage than Keiths or Nate's Omega putters. Maybe I don't putt as hard.
Re: Super Stupid Soft Wizard (Gateway)
I don't see this plastic warping. The quality of this plastic is the best I've seen from Gateway. I'll put a few hundered putts on it in the next few days in practice and see what happens. I liked the way the new Assasin's plastic felt too. Very grippy and very clean looking. Didn't throw it though.

Don't let the Devil (aka Jason  ) get a hold of your Jeremy!!!! He has been trying to recruit for months now.
I have putted a few times with them. I almost like them as much as my Omega's. You will never get ahold of me though Jason!!!!
Re: Super Stupid Soft Wizard (Gateway)
Don't be scared Nate. I don't bite.
Re: Super Stupid Soft Wizard (Gateway)
I used to have several similar to this back when the Wizards first came out (2003?). No matter how much they warped, beat in, etc, they NEVER changed their flight characteristics. I used them for driving quite a bit and they held the line they were thrown on very well. All of mine had really bad dimples on the top from gripping them while putting and driving.
Unfortunately, all have been eaten by the monster that eats all lost discs... Once I get better, I'll pick some up! They're worth it!
Re: Super Stupid Soft Wizard (Gateway)
They did still hold their line very well after they were warped though. They are really good putters though.
Oh. And Jason, Keith doesn't throw Omegas, that was me. And I don't even know what putter is in my bag because it has been so long since I have played (maybe 3 or 4 rounds since October). Either the Omega or a JK Aviar-X.
Re: Super Stupid Soft Wizard (Gateway)
Alright...I've put close to 100 putts on this disc now. No warpage...no change in flight.
Re: Super Stupid Soft Wizard (Gateway)
and your review on it at 100 putts??
