Absolutely devastating! That gorgeous course is destroyed! Thanks for the pics Jeremy, but it just breaks my heart. Thank the Good Lord no one was killed in B-Burg, God knows they've suffered enough over the years with the weather.
Ironic that the worst mid round weather I've ever got caught in was with my son and wife, on teepad #4 on this course. I had to run back to the car, the weekend before L M memorial 07 in quarter inch hail.
Everyone will miss the course, but a redesign could be nice. We can reclaim some of the land they took & never used. There were some great holes back there! Some of the tees probable still exist?
It's Gone!! Brandy is absolutely Gone! I remember the course before the water company was put in and thought it was terrible then to rearrange the course, but now we don't even have a course to rearrange. :( :( :x :( :x :( :x :( :x :( :x :( :x :( :x
Wow. Mother nature is a powerful force.
Glad no one was hurt.
I read this morning that in fact there was a tornado that came through Meade Olin(Courier Journal-Feb. 7). They mentioned the building in your pics. I heard about the train on the news on Feb. 6. So you were right Jeremy, stupid meteorologist !!!! When we talked last night I would have never imagined this much distruction.
At least whomever poured the teepads and put the baskets in made them to withstand a tornado. That is all that seems to have made it.
Yeah...each basket has about 250 pounds of concrete.
how many times has Meade-Olin been redesigned?
Only once. This will be the second. We had been planning on putting in some alternate pin placements in the near future. I have faith it will still be a SWEET course when it's all said and done. :D
