What are the 4 extra holes this year?
(no dam shot, no dam shot, no dam shot) "If I think it hard enough it might come true". :)

There is a dam shot, but it's not a forced water carry like in previous years. This year we'll throw the length of the dam with the water on the left the entire way.

Oh now ain't that just a b***h! Now they don't have to carry it, just try to keep from hyzering into the drink! Yikes!

I'm really hoping to try and play in this one. I'm not sure but man it sounds like fun!

Ok, thanks Adam.
If there is one hole on the dam, that must mean there is one hole before it and two after.

I can remember the hole before it from last year, which two holes will be after the dam shot?
Last year there was 5 after the dam.

It's my understanding there are 5 temp holes and they'll be skipping hole 18.

Hole A is shorter than in previous years and a slight turnover shot to try to keep discs away from the walking path.

Hole B runs the length of the dam and IMHO will be the signature hole on the course when it's made permanent.

Hole C is an up hill par 4 in the woods. I haven't seen this one so I can't comment on it.

Hole D and E are just like the last two temp holes from previous years. D is a downhill turnover in the woods and E is a tight wooded hole.

Good review of the additional temporary holes. Hole C is similar to Hole #2 at Sevrin Lang, but tighter and rougher roughs.

Thanks for the info guys, sounds like fun.

I am wondering though why we are skipping 18, I really like that hole. 19 is the one i dont care for.

I agree---why are we skipping 18?

....of course, if you are skipping it you could use it as one of the two baskets you still need (unless you'd already thought of that, in which case you still need two baskets.)

It was decided to use 23 holes. I wanted to feature the dam hole (#B) and test the dogleg hole (#C). The flow to these holes and back to the permanent course required 5 temporary holes. To reduce the course to 23 holes a permanent hole had to be eliminated. Best options were #2 or #18. #2 is a true ace run for most players. There is a natural flow from #17 to #18. #18 eliminated.

Hey Jim, are you in your office this week where I could just drop the money off to you? I can be in Georgetown Monday morning if you'll be around. If so, where exactly is your office?

Ok disc golfers, here is the skinny on the temp holes. There are 5 temps. A thru E. A is after hole #5. A=280 ft.(snake pit) B=375 (dam shot) C=300 (dog leg) D= 315 (passion pit) E=290 (sink hole) There are white flags out on the temps if anyone wants to practice these holes before the tournament. the tee flags have the word tee and the hole letter on them. The hole flags just have the letter of the hole. The official painting will happen on Friday. No baskets will be on the temps until day of. Have fun!

Field has been set! 92 players have registered for the Buffalo Trace Open VII. On the morning of the event, the Toll House should be closed. When open, there will be only a $1.00 per car load charge for players. Parking will be to the immediate right. If inclement weather, look for an attendant to direct you. Check-in will be at the shelter house by the camp ground.

The BOOTY WAGON will be set up by the shelter house to accommodate your lunch needs. They will have a large variety of food and drinks for sale at a reasonable price.

LET’S GET READY!
