Performance Edition. Qualifier will be scored using performance scoring.

I thought that was every other year. Wasn't it like that last year

This year they are doing 72 Open Spots and 72 Performance Spots. Essentially two tournaments, one using each format.

So does each state still get a spot in the open side?

So does each state still get a spot in the open side?

Nope. All the available open spots are decided in the regional qualifiers.

If they get the results up this week, it would still be faster than last year.

What takes so long? I've seen results from some tourneys immediately.

^ ^ ^ that's when the TD has a lap top setup on location. Not so at this tournament. With Captain CAVE man being the TD the Smoke signals take longer to travel across the air waves.

lol

Larry said that Eddie gave the info to Jermey like a day or two ago. So now we are waiting on Jeremy to get the results up. I agree it shouldn't take this long.

Maybe Jeremy has another life than disc golf... haha.. relax guys, don't scare away Jeremy again.

If you need something productive to do with your life go submit a course proposal, or start doing all of the work it takes for a tournament to happen, maybe you'll realize it does eat up your life. By then the scores should be up. Where's the next Louisville course?

^^^ this

I'm trying to get the caddy book out for the Masters and it's starting to interfere with my job which is not good, so I couldn't agree more Scotty.

I completely understand that life can get in the way, but the fact is that there is a USDGC spot on the line and registration closes on August 31.

I have offered to help Jeremy however I can. I would urge someone more local to make the same offer to Mr. Watts.

Well then yes of course that matters very much to someone being its only 8 days away from the close of registration. I'm sure Eddie would know how to get a hold of him.

This is why I called Larry not to be a jerk but because that would be a blast for someone to be able to go to USDGC. However they might not get that chance if this takes to long. Normally I would worry about it.

FYI, Larry called me this past Wednesday and said he needed help. I told him to bring me the results and I would do it for him. He never did and, therefore, I (once again) had nothing to do with this tourney. Any event I EVER ran the score were up by the following Monday at the latest. Ever. BUT my name was not on this event in any way shape or form, hasn't been on one for over a year, nor will it ever be on another. Leave me alone.

Thanx for speaking up for me Scotty.

I'm sorry to hear you won't be running any more tournaments, but I figured as much considering that you've stepped away from the sport. You always ran great tournaments, they were well organized and scores were posted quickly. It took a handful of us to run the CVO when you passed it off to us and you make it look easy when you and Julie did it.

Thanx, Adam. We had a good system. I really enjoyed running tournaments and enjoyed 98% of the people. Unfortunately the other 2% weighed on me to a point that was unhealthy for me and my marriage. I got involved in disc golf because I loved it and wanted to see it grow. Every day I was working on some disc golf related project. I know it sounds weak to say that it only took a handful of individuals to wear me down but when you invest so much of yourself into something, trying to please others, and then you start getting attacked for it…the burden outweighed the reward. All the years I served such a large community yet I felt very alone while being very publically attacked.

I’ve been playing more in the past few months but I will not run another event. I’m ready to just be a disc golfer for once.

Wow that's a major blow to the sport,I hope the 2% that didn't appreciate Jeremy steps up to fill his shoes because their clown-size shoes and it's a shame. Jeremy helped me out when I was a new comer more then anyone I know and it was always a blast to play in anything he was involved in IMHO
haters gonna hate Jeremy keep on keeping on man I'll take 98% any day of the week piss on the other 2

How about a fun tournament at Otter sometime Jeremy, we were in the area not too long ago and played the 3 man throwdown format with Eddie, LFG, and Butch... we had a heck of a time. Non-sanctioned just a good old time.

I might play one but I won't run one. I'm finished. The ONLY event I'm considering is to do something in memory of Ellena Gallusser to raise money for a cause chosen by her family. We talked about it a LITTLE at her visitation and I would be honored to do something like that for her. But that's about it. Of all the events I've ever ran the charity events were the most rewarding.

Jeremy I think that idea is awesome and I think anyone that knew her would come. I am sorry that you won't be running tournaments anymore. However if you run that I think it would be amazing and would help the family to know how much she mean't to everyone. Keep us updated on it.
