tourny divisions

Just trying to get some feedback from some experienced golfers. I am assuming I should enter my first tourny in the lowest division which would be novice. Is that the best way to go? Are the prizes any better in the recreational or intermediate divisions? Any advice or opinions are welcome.

Novice is a great division to start - my best advice is to look at the number or players competing in the nov and rec divisions - playing with more players when you win prizes usually equates to larger payouts

divisions are all about finding the players you want to compete with...
