I know im not the smartest person so i have a ? I was looking at the madison ville results and theres 3 differnt divisions with. 1 person each. They paid 70 won 245 a piece. WTF i thought u had to have 3 people per divison how is this possible at an a tier event

Loop hole maybe. We just need to get to masters age and take advantage mick / 2 years. Weird scheduling too for this tourney. Wysocki almost got the Borg looks like.

It's at the discretion of the TD. Here's what Chuck Kennedy had to say about the same question on the PDGA discussion board.

TD call. The rule says that if at least three players want to enter a division, the TD has to host it unless prior notice that that division wouldn't be available had been announced. But TDs are allowed to host 1 or 2 player divisions if they wish.

Yes Adam is correct, the 3 per rule only applies to groups playing, not divisions, it is the TD's call to allow how many they want per division.

Yup...TD's discretion. I'm assuming that the reason they were paid $245 after only paying $70 to play is due to dividing the added cash evenly amoungst the divisions. That's just a guess though. I haven't researched this event in the least.

it makes sense - but it seems wrong of the TD to divide evenly - they won there division before they even teed off

just 1 more reason pdga sucks sometimes should be more set guidelines i guess.i mean they more than tripled there $for showings up

It is an A tier, you'd think more people would show up in the Pro divisions?
