As I was standing near a downed fence, I got to wondering about the OB ruling. The fence to the right of the basket on #2 at Seviren Lang is pushed almost all the way over, but not completely, leaving it about a foot or so off the ground. What would be the ruling if the disc were to come to rest on the fence, OB or not? Is the OB line the base of the fence or is it completely over the fence?

My understanding it would be the fence line as it is a line that runs continually regardless if pieces of the fence are missing or pushed over. So if you landed on the fence you would draw a perpendicular line up from the ground and if you disc is hanging in bounds you’re in and of course if it was over the line your out.

This happend to me at the bag tag challenge. I was told the bottom line of the fence is the OB line. So if it is not touching grass on the correct side of the bottom of the fence it is OB

That is correct, the bottom line of the fence would serve as the OB line. The group should be able to determine if any of the disc is inbounds. If not, throw a provisional and check later with the TD or have an official make a ruling if one is avaliable. If it's that hard to tell, I would try to stretch a string or line between the two nearest fence posts.

I figured the OB line was the bottom of the fence (where the fence is supposed to be,) and not the actual fence if it's over, but I wasn't sure. I was just standing there wondering if I was peeing in-bounds or out-of-bounds.

It's a good idea for the TD to mark questionable OB before the event.
