I tried to teach my son's Tiger Cub den how to play disc golf. They can earn an award for completing certain tasks as it relates to disc golf. At the end, I gave them all brand new putters and minis to take home with them. I hope some of them caught the disc golf bug and continue to play. One of the kids brought their own Wraith and was playing with that. I think all of them had fun.

Any suggestions for using a disc basket at an elementary field day?? I have a basket and I'll be bringing a few discs, but these kids have never seen disc golf before. I thought it would be something different for them to do.

It's Friday, May 20th, so I need ideas soon!!!

Thanks!!!

Here are a few sample lesson plans from the EDGE (Educational Disc Golf Experience) website you can use. You can find out more about the EDGE at edgediscgolf.org.

This lesson plan is for the classroom and is aimed at upper elementary grades, but it could be simplified for younger ages.

This is for outside in the field and should be appropriate for all ages.

This is a fairly in-depth and slightly advanced activity, but it could be adapted and simplified for your needs.

It's great to hear you guys are incorporating disc golf into a field day. Let us know if there's anything else we can do to help.
