I can't find a map of the layout online. Do they supply maps at the clubhouse?

not so much its a verbal tour and you may have trouble getting around the first round but ask they may have maps now I know they didnt when we last played but that was late last Fall.

I thought I saw an overhead map online one time but I can't seem to find it now.

I am working on a course walk through and I am trying to get distances as well. It will be awhile though before it's all completed.

Never having been there, I'd love to see a map. I've heard stories and legends, but nothing tangible...

Daniel Old E has your name written all over it. Golf carts and 600+ holes galore. Im going back right after the Buffalo Trace Open

Played with some cool cats from IL... they composed a nice little video of Old English. Good times.

Great video! So, how far were they throwing on the long holes? Just trying to get perspective...

They were throwing about 400.. Sean was getting it out at 450 at times.. a few of the times he ended up in the rough which is BRUTAL, so you definitely need accuracy.

I've heard that about the rough. Looks like fun, though. I'd love to go up there sometime.

Video looks awesome. Can a Ball Golfer and Disc Golfer play out of the same cart or does the course go off in different directions?

Yup...sure could. It's one of the most fun courses I've ever played.

Having players playing with different handicaps there is fun too. You don't have to give/take strokes in most cases. Just play from different tees.

Novice could play from Red, Rec could play Red or Whites, Intermediate could play White/Blue, Advanced could play from the Blues and Open player playing from the Blacks (I think that is their furthest tees back). They may even have another set of tees there too (Gold or Purple) but I'm not for sure since it has been a couple of years since I played there.

I wish it was closer to Louisville.

I wouldn't mind that. My vacation should be starting on 8/07 and ends around 8/15 so somewhere in that frame would be better for me.

I played it for the first time last monday and it was an absolute blast. Dave did a great job with the basket placements. There's danger lurking near almost every hole that makes you decide how risky you're willing to play it. I was going to ask you guys which tees you used. We threw from 14 red tees and 4 black tees (on the shorter holes). I finished at -10 so I'm thinking about going from some longer tees next time.

Even still, there were 3-4 holes where the "short" tees were like 1000+ ft!!

Hey, I don't know any of you guys, but being new to the sport I am always looking to meet and play with new people. I am good for a run to English most Fridays as long as I am not traveling. I am just a rec/ intermediate level player, but I will try to keep up.

Eh, we don't like those rec/int players.

Ok, so I'm just kidding! Anyone's welcome!

Thanks to Scottyb, maps are now available at Old E, but there isn't one online right now. Click here (http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=2741) to see pics of every hole and get distances of the course on DGCR.
