I'm pretty sure Dutch Napier will be there he gave me a verbal commitment so we shall see Im thinking this is going to be a blow out especially the night before when we do the glo round and the party down. not necessarily in that order.
Book your camping spots now only a month out now.

Awesome Martin! What camp sight # is the general area where all the disc golfers camp at?

illyB

When you are pulling in, most of us were to the left, and also by hole 18 under the trees. I'm really hoping to make it, but being gone for worlds the week before might make it tough.

No sir the holes will be different. There will only be 3 holes added and this will be towards the entrance side of the park and will be incorporating some of the water as well.

So its hard to tell from the link you posted g1nked.. but what are the best campsites to stay at..

Also is there any place to book online?

G1nked
07-28-2010, 05:10 PM
well i was afraid of that but I didnt stay last year i just got introduced day of the tournament to the sport. I know that the west side of the map and the north side borders the course. Do you want close to the shelter house or close to the bathrooms? Id say the ones on the west side though anything surrounding the campground shelter is convenient to the bathrooms and course. Maybe some people from last year can recommend where they stayed last year.
Best of my knowledge you would have to call because as of yet no online booking the parks website is outdated to say the best. If I can be of any help please call me for further information... 5zero2 5forty Four ten sixty one

G1nked
07-28-2010, 05:35 PM
Sir yes Sir just to check availability to the best of my knowledge.. trust me any site will be awesome just depends on if you want to be close to the shower house, shelter house HQ's or nearest to the course. none are very far from anything so its personal preference. Terry and I are going out to lay some mulch Ill see which one is the best imho as far as course wise. Ill get back to you this evening or pm me Ill text you some pics

Anything close to the course or the shelter house is a good area to camp but nothing is to far away from anything.

Bump!

Just a little update there will be food served at the tournament it will not be free as it was last year it will cost $5. This will support the food pantry at a local church. The menu will be listed below.

I also want to inform everyone there is limited parking! Don't park in any camp sites!!! If the parking area is full please park around the shower house someone should direct you there.

Now onto the menu.

Hamburger
Chips
Cookie
Drink

Or you can get

2 Hot Dogs
Chips
Cookies
Drink

I think there may be something else added but I'm not 100% sure yet.

That's great news, especially since the only places I know to eat in Palmyra are the Subway and the gas station.

BTW, will tournament goers need to pay the entry fee to get in the park this year? If so, be sure to carpool with an Indiana driver.

Tell her to come on out.

If you haven't heard the rumors are true I'm upping the cap to 110 players. I know this is short notice but I did not expect this demand for the tournament what so ever. I haven't got the list updated yet but we are around 94, 95 players right now.
