LDGC logo and tag line contest

It's time to update the look of the LDGC with a new logo and tag line. We're asking for two different things so you can submit entries for one or the other or both. The winning logo and the winning tag line will each receive a free entry into an LDGC tournament.

The deadine for the contest is Thursday, April 22th. Entries will be voted on by the LDGC officers. Any officer who submits a logo or tag line an entry will not be able to vote on the category of his submission.

Here are some things to keep in mind for the logo and tagline.

A logo should...

be easy to read.
look professional enough to be taken seriously by parks departments, businesses and other organization the club might come in contact with.
distinct/memorable.
not contain copyright material.
The club is also looking for a new tag line. Our last tag line, "Think Positive, Throw Negative", was great at the time it was introduced because there seemed to be a lot of negativity then. Now the club is looking for a tag line to promote a new idea.

being active in the community
being active in the club
the history/tradition of the club
the LDGC is your club
Since tag lines are short, they only need to hit on one or at most two of these topics.

Submit as many entries as you'd like for either category. You must be an LDGC member or become one to participate.

What about the tag line. Does anyone have some ideas for that?

I'm really liking this logo the more I see it. It started out as the Louisville Classic logo for Sammy. Then Martin needed a logo for the bag tags so it got worked on some more. Since then it's got additional changes giving it more organic, dynamic feel.

Surely there are some other logo ideas out there.

We could still use a tag line, any ideas?

How about "Deuce or deuce not, there is no three." A Yoda theme. It's from a thread I started a while back.

(Yeah, I'm not a current member, but I have been in the past and will be in the future once my body gets a little better...)

Rough draft. I ripped myself off...everyone always seemed to love this logo though. If it wins I'll clean it up a bit.

I'll compile all the logos and taglines so the officers can discuss and vote on each. I won't be voting on the logo of course since I made a submission.

Sorry it slipped my mind and I forgot to post the results here. The officers voted on Adam's logo and decided it was best to keep the old slogan for now. Thanks for submitting your ideas!
