First round, first ace

I took my neighbor out disc golfing for the first time Saturday at Cavan Park. He knows a few people who play and was excited to get out and try it. I showed him the grip, footwork and form and he caught on pretty well for his first time. Since he's new we were just having fun, occasionally throwing multiple shots.

So on hole 18, 180ft from the short pad, his first shot didn't go very well. So he grabs a 150g dx Beast throws a big sweeping S shot that hits chains perfectly and drops in the basket.

First round, first ace, I think he'll be back.

Holy Crap! I've seen n00bs ace and not get very excited due to the fact that they don't know how rare it is. Was he pretty pumped?

He wasn't screaming like a girl (like I typically do), but he was pretty stoked. Since we were playing the shorts at Cavan, he'd seen me ace run 3 different holes that round. So I'm sure he doesn't realize how rare they are, but I'm sure he'll be back soon and will eventually find out.

That's pretty sweet, the first time I took my brother to play, he hit the chains on one of his first drives. That was all he needed to get into the sports. Now he plays way more than I do, and he can out drive me by about 150 feet. Even though I have about 3 years experience on him.
