my friends and i were looking to get in some disc golf on Friday in Louisville.

What courses should we try to play? Any killer places to eat near them, etc, etc?

thanks!

Here's a link to disc golf course review where you can find and read about courses. Just click on the map near Louisville.

Charlie Vettiner is an amazing course. It's very challenging and at times, technical. It has quite a few unique holes and will really test your game.

The Fun Farm is located in Southern Indiana and is another excellent course. It's got a great balance of open and wooded holes with lots of huge elevation changes. It costs $5 to play, but is well worth it and you can play as many rounds as you like that day.

I highly recommend both of these courses.

As far as food goes, my favorite place to eat is in Southern Indiana at the New Albanian Brewing Company. They have fantastic pizza (you've gotta try their deep dish) and the best beer selection in the greater Louisville area.

the area around Charlie Vettiner course is not really known as an area with a lot of killer food.
you may try

Louisville Pizza Co.

3910 Ruckriegel Pkwy
Louisville, KY 40299-3960

I second what Adam says about the New Albanian. Best pizza in the metro. I like the upside down pizza

There is a really good Thai place about 10-15 minutes from Charlie Vettiner. They don't have a website so you'll have to google them if you want to check it out. Their food is amazing, in fact I'm having leftovers for lunch today :D

Thai Orchids Restaurant

9114 Taylorsville Rd
Louisville, KY 40299-1752

Well, I have to say that there is one place that has the most delicious burgers I have ever tasted. One of my personal favorites is W W Cousins. The smallest burger they sell is 1/3 lb, but I usually get the 1/2-pounder and fries. They have an enormous buffet of burger toppings there with almost anything you could ever want on a burger, and then some. You should stop by there on your way from CV to Fun Farm (or vice versa). The address and phone number are below.

900 Dupont Rd
Louisville, KY 40207-4602

thanks for the food and course recommendations !
we played CV and ate at Cousins.

We enjoyed the course- terrain changes definitely kept us on our toes. I can only remember us having difficulty finding the basket(and just throwing completely blind) on a few holes(16 & 18).
