The Buffalo Trace Advisary Board is meeting Monday, June 8th at 6:30. One of the topics of discussion will be concrete pads at the course. There's power in numbers so please come out and support if you can. The meeting will be held at the main shelter. When you enter the park, go straight once you pass the guard station (instead of turning right) and the shelter is on your left.

The meeting should be pretty short so we're planning on playing a round afterwards. If enough people show we might even play some doubles. Bring your bag tags if you've got them and we'll put those on the lines also.

Thanks for the support and we'll see you there!

Just a reminder, the meeting about concrete tee pads is this Monday at 6:30. Terry Glass has gathered all the necessary information to present to the board, but it would be great to see other disc golfers come out in support. The meeting should be short so we plan on playing a round afterward.

Terry tells me the grass is freshly cut, a couple trees had some branches trimmed and the pad for hole 6 has been moved back 100ft to eliminate the walk from 5's pin. The course now has 19 holes. Terry did some work on short and long 18 so we feel they can two be independent holes now.

See you there!

The Park has agreed to waive the entry fee for anyone who wants to attend the meeting. Just say at the front gate you are there to attend the advisory board meeting and they will let you in at no charge. These meetings are low key and once the concrete issue has been addressed we will be free to go play a round. Hope to see you there. :weee:

Concrete pads are a go!

We had a nice showing at the Buffalo Trace Advisary Board meeting last night with 6 disc golfers attending. Terry presented the idea to the board along with a cost estimate and they seemed very open to the idea of concrete pads in their park. We had a good constructive discussion about how best to do it and worked out a lot of the details. By the end, the board seemed almost was excited as the disc golfers about doing this.

The materials will be bought and delivered this week. The goal is to get the concrete pads installed before the tournament here on July 18. This is a very attainable goal since the park has access to a Bobcat and a cement mixer that can be hitched to a truck and driven around the course. This will make pouring the pads a lot easier than doing it by hand.

The first work day will be this Sunday, June 14.

There are great things happening for disc golf here and this is your chance to be a part of it. Please make an effort to attend if you can.
