I saw a black snake catching some rays on hole 4 here in Lebanon on Wednesday. Don't worry though, black snakes are completely harmless.

The ticks seem to be getting bad too, so be sure to look at yourself after a round.

I heard about the story Sammy! And yeah, you diffently want to spray yourself really good for ticks before you play the Fun Farm. I got home and found one on me in the shower! :|

It was nuts. I flipped my disc over and stepped to putt and sure enough the little guy was right under my disc and I damn near stepped on him. It's beyond me how he didn't bite my hand or my ankle, I guess me crapping my pants was a good deterrent.

It's good to know that also works as snake repellent

I'm scared to death of snakes, so with all this talk I know I will be paronoid when I'm out on the course.

I must attrack the things I guess, went to Banklick and Idlewild Sat and had 2 encounters with snakes.

I was at IdleWild also on Saturday and saw what must have been a four foot snake.

Any chance that you might have found any of the following:

DX Stingray
Star StarMax
Any one of three Champion Bosses?
I did not loose all these myself but they were all lost from my group.

IdleWild kicked my butt.

Ha Ha, no I guess I played in front of you all. If I would have seen a 4 footer then I would have packed my bag and got the hell out of there. :Ahhhh:

I saw a decent sized snake on hole eight at CV on the 31st. It had a light brown body with a darker brown patteren. All I saw was the body, I didn't stick around long enough to see it's head or tail. I stepped back for a min and then peeked back in and it was gone. I proceeded to throw my next shot and move on.

I accidently kicked a turtle going through the rough on 17 at georgetown saturday. I don't think it was too happy about the whole thing but I found the disc. Watch out for those willy animals too!

poor turtle

played banklick (lincoln ridge as it is now called) yesterday - interesting start of the rd - threw a champ leopard down to the left of the basket - never to be found - but in the search process uncovered not one, not two, but three snakes of differing lengths all behind the basket

There is a snake den around hole ones basket. All the locals talk about it.
People told me you can just stand there and count the snakes. Think
about that the next time you are lining a putt up on hole one.

I'm glad I didn't know that, because I played there 2 weeks ago but I did'nt see any on hole 1.

Snakes and ticks aren't the only thing to watch out for. I played Freeman Lake on Friday of last week and the duck droppings are really bad. It was hard to find a clear spot to set your bag down on 13-17, tee on 14-17 were pretty bad too.
