I always really liked Yellow Creek! If it wasn't Derby weekend, then I might have went!

That'd be a nice little tourney to play in except for it being Derby weekend. That's also the same weekend as the St. Louis Open so I'm sure you're going to lose some players to that.

Dang! And on a Sunday...I hate to say I'll be missing Bowling Green and Daviess County both for the first time in YEARS. :(

As far as i know but not 100% sure this is the first of four tournaments that the DCDGC will be running this year, so if you miss out on this one there will be more.

Is any local players going? I plan on going down Saturday night. I'm either staying in E-ville or Owensboro. Haven't decided yet.

I got your e-mail Jason, but when opened it was blank and says "errors on page". E-mail, PM, or post me a message here and I'll try to get back with you quickly.

The August 22nd will be a one day B-tier at Yellow Creek. I'm hoping every one in the club will agree with me and reduce the 27 holes to just two rounds of the original layout. Last year we had a sad showing of only 56 players, down from 106 the previous year. We had Ctp's on every hole, with divison protected ones, and hole 18's was gave away every round. I think we gave away more discs and money then ever before at the DC Open. Let me know of any suggestions you have. This year we plan on having a C-tier the day after at Vastwood again.

I got it your email. Thanks. I might come accross 64 so it is a straighter ride. I might leave after the Derby so I might not get there until late Saturday. I look forward to meeting you and the rest of the club Sunday. See you then. And thanks again.

Just wondering what the guys that played the birdie fest thought of the course layout? If we play that again for the Open we won't have to cap registration, otherwise we'll be limited to 95 players doing the original 18.

The temp holes are ok :| There were some that weren't that great and some that were good. There sure were a lot of mandos. I think the triple mando could have been used a little better. It was a very tough two but a really easy three.

The the tee for triple Mando should have been closer. It should direct your flight path but not be so punishable not to allow a duece. The famous triple mando in Japan is only about 30 feet away from the tee.

Seemed to be a lot of Anny routes. Around the ball field was almost all left to right shots. You could hang a hyzer out over the ball fence on one of them but all of the rest had mandos that you could do that. I can understand trying to avoid putting a disc in the ball field so that it doesn't interupt the baseball games but I think that the layout limited different types of shots.

I know this is coming from a rec player but just because my arm/body can't do it doesn't mean that I can't see/know what I'm supposed to do.

That was the reason for all the anhyzer mando. We didn't want people holding up play climbing the fences.

There were A LOT of anhyzer holes
