Made it out here, almost stayed home. Still have a fever and feel like arse. I don't recommend flying sick. Mostly sore throat, body/muscle ache and no energy. Play starts tomorrow and I have the 2nd to last tee time, hopefully I'll feel better by then. I haven't been able to practice out here yet. Vista course has changed on about 6 or 7 holes. Fountain Hills now has huge circular teepads.
The weather is nice, 75 and sunny. Ultimate goal: play in and finish the tournament.
I'm in Markus Kallstrom's group in round 1, with the big dogs on the hole right behind me ( Doss, Feldberg, Climo) Hopefully I can give them something to watch.
DLG tees off in the Masters division in the morning, looking to follow up a HUGE performance from last year here.

Good luck Scott!!! Just keep your feet slow and your putts low! :D

Yeah...I HATE flying sick. Feels like your head's going to explode on take offs and landings.

started with ob's on 2 of the first 4 holes. then made lots of 40 footers for birdies (actually 5 40 footers in a row! :) I was laughing. I need to shoot good tomorrow to ensure a late tee time Sat so I can watch UofL vs. Georgetown.

great shooting for day 1 - both of you - easy going at fountain, keep the discs dry - score some more back at vista tomorrow -

check out the pdga home page. There's a link for first day pics, our boy Scotty is in there. (Sportin' the team throw shirt taboot). Looks like he's throwing a condor. 8-)

struggled a bit today, shot an even 55 at fountain hills. 10 strokes better than my round there last year BUT it was not nearly as windy this time around. threw too many in the lake. will likely drop 15-18 places in the update later.

Scott, you're doing great! You're ahead of a ton of guys who are rated higher than you and that's impressive. Now finish up strong!

geeze, eerily similar to my performance there last year. Held on for last cash like last year. averaged 991 golf, same as last year there. weird huh. this arm needs a rest. I heard there is snow in Louisville so I guess I'll get rest there.
Had a good round going till I double bogeyed the last hole today.
