You can pick up to 2

01-24-2008, 10:21 AM
What are each of their ratings right now?

01-24-2008, 10:53 AM
I edited the poll to contain the current ratings. I will update it again after next Tuesday (the final 2007 ratings update).

01-24-2008, 11:01 AM
i doubt mine will go up much in the next update - but i have climbed up from a 941 this time last year

checked the rest so far as of dec 06
Dec 06 07 +/-
Sneegas 888 +16
Serapiglia 876 +37
Schepers 908 +17
Gallusser 923 +24

2007 was my worst year for ratings so far.

September 2006Ö968
December 2006Ö965
June 2007Ö962
August 2007Ö959
November 2007Ö963

Iím FINALLY going back up again. Maybe Iíll get back to where I was soon. :D My goal for 2008 is to become a 980 rated golfer. Iím looking for about a 20 point swing. :?

I think Sammy has the greatest potential to move up the most. He is a LOT better than his rating. Larry and Billy are in the same boat as Sammy but with Sammyís rating currently being so low I see a HUGE jump in the near future for him.

Mike has been playing GREAT golf but I have a feeling that he will stay where he is at for the moment with only SLIGHT improvements in his ALREADY steady game.

Martin, Keith, and I are all RIGHT THERE on the verge of breaking out. Itís just a matter of who does it first. Itís going to be TOUGH for any of the three of us to move up dramatically butÖweíll see.

01-24-2008, 04:24 PM
is this a pole listed just for baggers :D :D move up thencheck the ratings i suck by the way no time. im just joking with you baggers, i mean guys

01-24-2008, 05:01 PM
I should have cast one of my votes for other. Nate and I just got numbers so our ratings should improve more than everyone listed combined during our first tournament :D. If I can finish the year with 850-860 I will be happy.

01-24-2008, 07:57 PM
I agree with Jeremy and wish I could have chosen three: Larry, Sammy, And Billy. Just because they all end with Y, no really because they have more room to improve quickly. For every 5-10 points a 950ish gains I think these guys will add 10-15. With billy playing up with advanced like towards the end of last year, He'll see his own game raise. I think larry and sammy should play up also, and not just cause it's what I aim to do.

01-24-2008, 08:20 PM
Sammy had played advanced a few times last year. I think that has something to do with his confidence in the ZGLO. :P

01-25-2008, 12:42 AM
my goal for 2008 is to get to at least 950 with a 980 or higher rated round at least once

01-25-2008, 10:31 AM
I voted for Sammy and other!

Don't let me down DADDY-O Shaheen!!
by the end of the year you will be a 920-930 golfer.
I actually went down when I had kids, but I think different about you.

also "other" it's a safe bet!!!

How much are we betting? :D

Scotty Rief...where's your name?

01-25-2008, 11:03 AM
gonna get myself a 1000 rated round this year

and if i keep up doubling my ace total from each previous year 3 in '06, 7 in '07, hitting chains for about 14 in '08

01-25-2008, 11:53 AM
I'm anxious to see how much I can gain on my rating this year. I know I had the BEST ROUND EVER of mine at ZGLO. And if I can get consistant, the BG AM's will be the last Intermediate entry of my disc golf "career". I have still yet to win 1st place in that division, but I'm in the top 5-10 in a field of 30+ intermediate regularly. I picked Sam mainly because his rating currently does not reflect the numbers I know he has and will continue to do. Look for the biggest point gain by him. My goal is to break 925 this year. :D All I should have to do is quit missing way, way, way, too many "easy" putts. But isn't that every "AM's" story :? Someone put together a poll for baggers. A list of guys who need a lil push to bump up where they'll fit in at. I'm sure I qualify.

My goal is to be 930 by the end of 2008 and 975 by the end of 2009.

Bowling Green Ams will probably be my last Int. tournament. It was tough
last year finishing at the bottom of advanced every time. Lot's of great ams
in this area.

One thing that has made me improve the most (other than playing with Dave G.) has been
trying to keep up with Billy S. I've known him for ever and it just kills me when he beats me.
Every time I get a leg up Billy answers.

Billy is the most improved golfer in my mind. He will be playing pro after this year.
His putting is awesome.

Take care everyone.

01-25-2008, 06:10 PM
wow sam, you're making me blush :D
But seriously, putting in my basement has definitely made me a better putter. That's what it all comes down to really, you gotta make those putts. Confidence is key. You MUST know that the disc is going in before you even step up to it. And you gotta play like crazy. I feel like my disc selection is right on now too, that means a lot. I cannot wait for this tournament season to start! Bring on Bowling Green

01-29-2008, 11:10 AM
I see you updated the ratings, but who won? I can't remember everyones previous rating. I did find out I shot my highest rated round EVER. A 987! Then followed up with a 872

01-29-2008, 11:13 AM
I think the question Scott was asking is who's going to improve the most by the end of this year.

01-29-2008, 11:19 AM
i doubt mine will go up much in the next update - but i have climbed up from a 941 this time last year

checked the rest so far as of dec 06
Dec 06 07 +/-
Sneegas 888 +16
Serapiglia 876 +37
Schepers 908 +17
Gallusser 923 +24
Watts 965 -2
Shaheen 854 +33
Young 941 +10

Sneegas 910 +22
Serapiglia 919 +43
Shepers 937 +29
Gallusser 951 +28
Watts 963 -2
Shaheen 897 +43
Young 951 0

so on the year billy and sam tied with +43, shepers +29, Gallusser +28, Sneegas +22
maybe not scott's question but the +/- for the whole year - as for the last exact change?

i understand the question now - who will keep up and make the putts for 08

04-15-2008, 11:23 AM
It's about time to revisit this topic. Ratings update comes April 29th! :bravo:

04-15-2008, 06:59 PM
Billy should be moving up some more.... I hope to break into the 990's :D

04-15-2008, 09:25 PM
If both BG tourneys get in for the update, I'm looking at around 930

"weeelllll, we're moving on up, movin' on up"

04-28-2008, 02:34 PM
Hereís the results for the April 2008 update:

Billy +9 (928)
Larry +6 (916)
Jeremy +4 (967)
Keith +3 (954)
Sammy +1 (898)
Martian -8 (943)
Mike -8 (929)

Nate Hartlage +65 (919)
Scott Rief +4 (990)
Marc Estenfelder +25 (1004) Is he the first WORLD CLASS AM!?!

04-28-2008, 05:12 PM
how about me + 13 :weee: :weee:

04-28-2008, 05:17 PM
They call him Estenbagger on the pdga board.

04-28-2008, 06:02 PM
Gongrats to Eric Roady Roadhouse who moved up to #1 Golfer in the State :weee: :weee:  Welcome to the 970's Mick you got me by 1 point you bastard :bang:

04-29-2008, 10:02 AM
One point Paul!!!! I thought I was going to get you. Sooooo close!!!! :D :D :D

06-30-2008, 09:24 AM
Hereís how much everyone has improved from the beginning of the year after the June 2008 update:

Larry +14 (924)
Jeremy +9 (972)
Sammy +7 (904)
Billy +6 (925)
Keith +4 (955)
Martin -6 (945)
Mike -12 (925)

I still think Sammy will be number one by the end of the year. He played 925 rated golf at the CVO and beat the reigning Amatuer World Champion!

09-02-2008, 09:22 AM
The next update is NEXT Tuesday! I may bust through the 980 ceiling if my calculations are correct. That was one of my goals for 2008! :weee:

09-02-2008, 10:13 AM
Well, I think my rating is going to drop some. I played awfull at Riney B. and only fair at Radcliff. I need more tourney's!

09-02-2008, 10:30 AM
I'm going with CAPTAIN PLASTIC. He seems to be the "hot" golfer of the year around here. Larry screwed the pooch and shot like crap at Riney B, so he may have just given up all he worked for earlier in the year. Sam has improved faster than anyone around here, he's really been shooting and putting really well. Keep it up Sam :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

09-08-2008, 10:22 AM

Sammy +14 (911)

Keith +4 (955)
Martin -3 (948)
Mike -9 (928)

Woo Hoo! I finally broke the 980's...BARELY! :weee: I was hoping to be in the top ten in the state but...oh well!

09-09-2008, 09:49 PM
Sweet I can play AM again!!!, and win the zglo one more time!!! just kidding

11-20-2008, 10:44 AM
Tuesday is the next ratings update!!! Will Sammy or Billy pull ahead of me!? I expect to drop a few points so this could be their chance.

11-20-2008, 01:36 PM
I didn't play well at Freeman Lake but I played good in the three other tournaments I was in, so I think my rating will going up a few points. :D

11-20-2008, 02:59 PM
I expect to drop to 991

11-24-2008, 09:32 AM

Thank you, Thank you very much

I would like to send a big shout out to all my fans! LOL

Billy, I got you buddy.

Ha, not to burst your bubble Sam, but I "airballed" a few putts these last few tourneys so you would win the rating improvement poll. Just trying to do what I can to make you feel a little better. It's the type of guy I am 8-)

11-24-2008, 06:55 PM
great improvements everyone - congrats sam - did stefan make as big as a jump as you did?

wow I am playing better then i ever have been and my rating is now back to about exactly what i had originally started with back in 2006

guess thats what you get when you mix those hot rds with the worst rds i have ever shot at the same time

good year - at least one 1000 rated rd and got paid to play - 2009 early start for the year in Phoenix

01-26-2009, 11:26 AM
Alright, with the last update adding the last of the events from 2008 here are the final standings. Sammy and Billy made a HUGE jump in their ratings. We need to start one of these for 2009.

Jeremy +10 (963-->973)
Keith +9 (951-->960)
Larry +8 (910-->918)
Martin -10 (951-->941)
Mike -11 (937-->926)

01-26-2009, 12:33 PM
same rating i had back in 2006 - all right - so glad practice helps so much - all good - my rating is going to make a nice jump come next update in a few months - just need to rid myself of some terrible early 08 golf

01-26-2009, 01:40 PM
This was a great thing to keep track of during the year. I definately think it is worth doing again in 2009. Helped me make the biggest jump in my short time playing.
Brian +51 (876-->927)

01-27-2009, 12:14 PM
I hope to make the biggest jump in '09. Currently 796. :( There is only one way to go right?

I'm going to commit to some type of putting practice everyday in February wether it is in a basket outside or chucking discs at my wife sitting on the couch.

01-27-2009, 12:26 PM
...or chucking discs at my wife sitting on the couch.
Let me know how that goes for you.

01-27-2009, 03:00 PM
She should be safe sitting there all day!!!!

01-27-2009, 03:23 PM
Oh...what your sayin' is as long as she doesn't move she should be safe!? :bravo:

If she puts a few chains on her head, you'll never hit her! Just kiddin' Jason, I know you're a better putter than me! I stink!
